yooo.. wuttup! this album is comprised of pieces from basically like October 2025 to March 2026. I was lookin for a job, hungry, and needed to try something new. I was working with my guy Curtis Williams, as well as staying in touch with Shaun and even some production from a new homie of mine, Riichiie. These beats I started to work with, mostly writing the lyrics before hand then constructing the songs in my at-home studio. I was trying a different recording process during the production of this tape, and I think it shows. I feel like it’s one of my stronger works, but its not EXACTLY where I want it to be … musically. I feel as though it is a good step in the right direction, but I have been hesitant on how I truly feel about it since the completion of the damn thing!
But I believe in sharing music, and hopefully Bodies of Water (2026) tracks my progression as an artist. The album art was made by me, with a photo taken by Martin Bertheloux up on Lake Superior in Ontario, Canada. It looks like I’m walking on water, right??!
Anyways, thanks for checking it out. I did the mixes for the songs except Great Ocean Freestyle, which was recorded and mixed by Renzell. at Studio Shapes in Chicago. I then took these rough mixes to Jeremy Blye at Classick Studios to have him master them. I think he really did a good job! Sometimes just getting another person involved can really bring out the best of a project.
